Footpath Closure - September 2020
Murray Davidson, Environment and Natural Resources Manager at Hastings Borough Council has let us know that....
"The footpath from the car park to the Quarry that runs alongside the new visitor centre will be closed from 21st of September for around three weeks. This is to allow the sustainable drainage system to be constructed for the visitor centre. Machinery will be running back and forth across the path from the new centre into the farm field. In the interests of safety, the footpath will be closed. Suitable diversion signs will be put in place.
Once the drainage works have finished, the path will remain closed for resurfacing. The footpath resurfacing is part of Hidden Hastings Heritage Lottery funded project managed by Groundwork Trust.
The construction teams will work as hard as they can to get the jobs completed as quickly as possible.
Everyone involved, apologies for any inconvenience whilst these essential work are taking place."
