Introduction and Maps
The whole point of a resource such as the Country Park and Nature reserve is to get out there and explore and enjoy it. These pages in the "Explore" section invite you to do just that.
Below are two maps, one a simple map of the park and the second, an interactive Google Map created by one of our members which uses icons to denote places on interests.
Most major path junctions and points of interest in the park are marked with numbered signposts or "Direction Bollards" like this one. Each number on a signpost corresponds to a location on the map below. If you have a copy of the map with you, and are next to one of these signposts, you will never be lost!
To get you started, we have 4 suggested walks, taking in many of the highlights of the park, of varying difficulty, with some suitable for wheelchair and buggy use. Each walk is described with reference to the relevant signposts, and provides links from each signpost to extra information about all the features of the location around the signpost.
