This guided walk continues the series of botanical walks led by Friends’ members and plant experts Judy Clark and Jacqueline Rose, focussing on flowering plants to be found in the different habitats and glens of the Nature Reserve.

Jacqueline and Judy are field botanists with many years experience recording plants in East Sussex. For the past 10 years they have conducted vegetation surveys in Hastings Country Park Nature Reserve as part of the monitoring of the Higher Level Stewardship agreement, and will continue to do so when this becomes the Countryside Stewardship agreement in 2024. These 10-year agreements provide government funding to HBC for the management of HCPNR.
